The South Plainfield Education Association
The South Plainfield Education Association works for the welfare of school children, the advancement of education and the improvement of instructional opportunities; develops and promotes adoption of such ethical practices, personnel policies and standards of preparation and participation as mark a profession; develops and promotes a continuing program to improve salaries, fringe benefits, working conditions and instruction through formal negotiations with the South Plainfield Board of Education and in compliance with Chapter 303, New Jersey Public Laws of 1968,the New Jersey Employer-Employee Relations Act; enables members to speak with a common voice on matters pertaining to educational issues and to present their individual and common interests before the Board of Education and other legal authorities; holds property and funds and to employ a staff as necessary for the attainment of these purposes.
